Leah Sykes of Florida is crowned Miss America's Outstanding Teen 2013
Leah Sykes of Florida was crowned Miss America’s Outstanding Teen 2014 on Saturday, August 17th, 2013 at the Linda Chapin Theater Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida. The remaining Top Five were: Miss Oklahoma’s Outstanding Teen, Ashten Vincent (First Runner-Up), Miss Alabama’s Outstanding Teen, Jessica Procter (Second Runner-Up), Miss Missouri’s Outstanding Teen, Tess Mandoli (Third Runner-Up), Miss Virginia’s Outstanding Teen, Cassie Donegan (Fourth Runner-Up).
Leah was crowned Florida's Outstanding Teen on July 13, 2013 and competed with a platform of "Seeing beyond Disabilities," and will represent the Children's Miracle Network as a teen ambassador. In addition to national travel opportunities, Leah was awarded with a $25,000 scholarship
